Help Us Save Her Life
Your donation will literally save a life. Maria Isabel Corado is 75 years old and lives in Belize where she came as a refugee from the civil war in Guatemala. She is the mother of our Casey Scholarship Belize Director, Ms. Aleida Colindres.
Maria has no medical insurance and has been diagnosed with Lymphoma Cancer. Her family has been financially devastated paying over $25,000 USD to have the tumor removed. Her doctor says the cancer will come back without treatment. She has an 85% chance of complete remission if she receives four treatments of chemotherapy at a total of an additional $25,000. Her family has no money left to pay. (The average household in Belize lives on $6,800 per year.
